Caregiving – Senior Care

This program is for older adults who are referred through MAP and who are financially challenged, over 65, and struggle with day to day activities to maintain their home. This program provides two levels of care:

  • Chores – An aid goes into the home to change the bed, wash the laundry, clean the bathroom, clean the kitchen, sweet and mop the floors, go grocery shopping, vacuum, dust, clean the windows, and make sure the house is set up for them to easily move around.
  • Personal Care – An aid goes into the home to help the person with everyday personal hygiene. They would help them with getting in and out of the shower or just be there for them so they feel secure, make sure they have a shower chair if they need one, help them wash or wash them, help them dress, help them with any oral care, brush their hair, help them with transferring, clean any assistance devices, help them with toileting if so needed, and make sure they have incontinent products. We also do GTF (Grant to Family); this offers the same services but the family already has a caregiver that they would like to continue to work with. GTF helps by paying for a certain amount of hours to the family.
